2019 was another busy year for the WCA Dollars for Scholars and we would like to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication to the program.

We are now on our tenth year of offering "giving levels" which means many who have been with us since the beginning have fulfilled their chosen level and offered the opportunity to "move up" to the next level.  To all who are supporting a Giving Level, THANK YOU for your dedication!  Those who are interested in learning about this option, please contact one of our board members.

We are pleased that WCA students now have the opportunity to apply for scholarships nationwide. Four years ago we launched a new website using a software tool provided by Scholarship America, which is the national organization for Dollars for Scholars. When the student fills out their online scholarship application, the system will alert the student to various nationwide scholarships available related to the information he or she entered. These scholarships vary in size and are funded by individuals, small businesses, organizations ... all the way up to huge corporations.

For many years, one of the main fundraisers for WCA Dollars for Scholars has been the annual Phone-a-thon. However, with more and more people choosing to use cell phones and no longer maintain a land line, we find that WCA students are not reaching as many residents of the school district as in previous years. To help counteract this change in technology and make it easy for you to send a donation you'll find a self-addressed envelope included in this newsletter.  Please use this envelope to remit the verbal donation that you pledge during the Phone-a-thon, or use it to remit a donation independent of the Phone-A-Thon.

As always, we appreciate your generosity and continue to be amazed year after year with the level of support our small communities provide for WCA students.
